ULTRAMEDITERRANIA offers seven unique race formats, each designed to showcase the raw beauty, technical challenges, and elevation-rich trails of Alicante’s mountainous interior. Set in January, the event benefits from a mild Mediterranean winter climate, offering ideal racing conditions compared to much colder regions across Europe during that time.
Ultra PRO – 162 km (+8,050 m). is the main event. An ultra-distance challenge that crosses the most iconic peaks and ridgelines of northern Alicante. Steep climbs, technical descents, and remote singlet rack trails test even the most seasoned mountain runners. The route features panoramic viewpoints, limestone outcrops, and high-mountain villages steeped in history.
It scores ITRA and UTMB and will grant 2 direct accesses to TOR DES GEANTS 2027 to any finisher in 2026
